1684 - Isaac Newton's derivation of Kepler's laws from his theory of gravity, contained in the paper De motu corporum in gyrum, is read to the Royal Society by Edmund Halley.

1901 -  The first Nobel Prizes were awarded for the first time. Nobel prize for peace awared on this day.

1915 - 10,000,000th model T Ford assembled

2012 - Google began selling of US$99 laptops

1851 -  Melvil Dewey - American librarian - Developed the Dewey Decimal Classification



1934 -  Howard Martin Temin - American oncologist and virologist - the 1975 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine - for his codiscovery of the enzyme reverse transcriptase.
