I did a knol search on the topic and found that there is no knol on this topic.
So I started this knol to develop it in open collaboration mode.
The international bestseller, ‘Blue Ocean Strategy’ was written by INSEAD professors W. Chan Kim and Renée Mauborgne. It sold more than a million copies in its first year of publication and is being published in a record-breaking 41 languages. Their articles in the Harvard Business Review sold half a million reprints.
INSEAD has set up the INSEAD Blue Ocean Strategy Institute.
Further development of the idea
Starwood Hotels and Resorts has been exploring blue ocean thinking for the past three years. According to this company so far they could find ‘blue puddles, lakes or rivers’ than ‘blue oceans’ as such. Thus we see the extension of idea to puddles, lakes and rivers.
